Episode One Hundred and Six, The Fish and I Will Chat

Updated: Mar 7

There is a natural law of abundance that exists energetically. It comes from the planet earth who is, contrary to most existing belief systems, a living being we are having a relationship with. We haven't developed our abilities to live in flow with this energy though it is here and has always been here. We see with our eyes and our senses the seasons and the natural vitality of the planet as it shows up for us repeatedly to support us but this is all most of us have developed of our senses to engage with the earth.

There is a larger story than humanity at play here and Hafiz seems to touch upon it in this poem. If we allow ourselves the self care necessary to expand our awareness, we can communicate with the wonders of this world and understand life in a deeper and more experiential way.

Music: This song Pisces Fish by George Harrison came to mind while I was writing this. I think of George when I think about the history of meditation in the western world. He did so much as a musical icon to promote this valuable tool for people to use by walking his talk. I was way late on the practice but, like George, I'm living proof of its value, actually. I'm so glad I got to live at a time I could be under his influence and witness his life. In 1964 I immediately recognized George as my favorite Beatle, of course.
