The most difficult time to accept love is when we feel unlovable yet it is the most potent time to receive it. This is a powerful secret knowledge of the feminine principle that is long suppressed. We may be reluctant to ask for what we so desperately need when so much vulnerability and faith is required. Hafiz suggests that we are not well suited and comfortable with our deepest desires but they do not abate until we own them with confidence. We are mismatched until we do. The heart demands a kiss of reassurance.
