Episode Four, When the Violin

Updated: Mar 26, 2022

Music has always been a language and more than just a gift of sound to wash over us. Music allows a conversation. We may listen and receive it. If we are musicians, we deliver it. Music can, however, give us information about the world and our place in it if we can learn to understand the energy it possesses and how that energy can become even more than something benign yet lovely or invigorating. Music can, if invited, show us who we are when we become the instruments themselves.

In the beginning we are all that matters. Then we realize others and find they are all that matters and our hearts soar becoming one with the celestial chorus of the divine. Then the weight of purpose holding the entirety of our experience arrives for us. It is then that we can truly surrender to know who the song is and how it belongs in the world.

Thank you for listening.

Video: This is a scene from the movie The Red Violin (1998). We make our way through our many lives, revealing our secrets. Sometimes these secrets lie like buried treasures only to age into their time generations later.

I highly recommend your viewing this film.
