Ideally wise advice pays in some way. It should secure a knowing in the advisor as well as the inquisitor; an exchange which enhances wealth to both.
Hafiz strikes me as a riddler here in this poem. Poets are rarely in the word game for the money but they may imagine receiving the attentions popularity will bring when they begin. Everyone starts somewhere with some kind of desire. One can't know before one does a thing that a thing will deliver any thing.

Video: There is very little about healing that doesn't involve some kind of painful excavation. There are also very few who actually have the courage to volunteer to do surgery on themselves. Mostly we seek help because we must and there is no way around the difficulty that we are in. Our relationships with helping others reflects our relationships with ourselves with the most important connection arriving at an impasse. Here in this scene from the film, Good Will Hunting, the client is sparing with the therapist. Our minds (represented by the client) are very good fighters especially if they have been put to task to defend our survival but our spirit (represented by the therapist) is wired to persevere and thrive and it is much stronger than our defenses when it is allowed the upper hand. Some of us will reopen our hearts to live large or die trying.
